Do you try to minimise impact on local environment?
Do you buy locally and use local produce where possible where possible?
Do you use locally owned accommodation?
Do you provide your clients with local information e.g. restaurants, shops, crafts etc?
Do you warn clients about the dangers of buying illegal artefacts and animal products from endangered species?
Do you employ local people wherever possible?
Do you make sure local people are paid a fair price for their work/service?
Do you ensure locals are happy with visits/tourism?
Do you and your staff inform clients about local culture, acceptable behaviour, religious customs etc?
Are you involved in any local community projects?
Do you have links/relationship with a specific village or community?
Do you have a policy on giving money/gifts to local people?
Do you have guides who speak the local dialects/language or who have sufficient language to communicate with local people?
Do you and your guides always ask permission to enter land/property?
Do you provide staff training?
Do you have a welfare system/ access to Drs etc for your staff and their families and local communities?
Do you have a pension scheme or do you contribute to one for your staff oversees, if applicable?
Are you aware of local legislation and regulations for local staff and do you try to comply with these or even go beyond these requirements?
